You don't need to be an architect, builder, or contractor, but you MUST be a member of the Association. 

The committee reviews applications to ensure the proposed changes do not stray from the desired look of the community. It does not require a great deal of time or work. 

Just like Fox Ridge, the Bylaws & Articles of Incorporation of most developed communities require a committee to review and approve exterior alterations to any home and/or lot. The specific purpose is to maintain community aesthetics and integrity. The review ensures consistency throughout the neighborhood. This helps maintain curb appeal, and protect property values. 

Any construction must be completed within 12 months of approval.

The committee will NOT ensure compliance with building codes or secure necessary permits. That is the responsibility of the homeowner.
